Frequently Asked Questions
What follow-up types are available?
There are three types:
- WhatsApp — follow up via WhatsApp message
- Email — follow up via email
- Phone Call — follow up with a phone call
The type is for your reference to track how you plan to reach out. It doesn't automatically send a message.
What do the follow-up statuses mean?
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Open | Active follow-up that needs attention |
| Closed | Completed — no further action needed |
| Delayed | Postponed to a later date |
What happens to overdue follow-ups?
The system automatically checks for overdue follow-ups. If a follow-up's scheduled date has passed and it's still open, it may be flagged for your attention.
Can I edit a closed follow-up?
No. Once a follow-up is closed, it cannot be edited. If you need to follow up again with the same contact, create a new follow-up.
What happens when I create a new open follow-up for a contact?
The system automatically closes any previous open follow-ups for the same contact. This ensures there's only one active (open) follow-up per contact at a time.
Can I create a follow-up from the Chat or Leads page?
Yes! You can create follow-ups from:
- The Follow-ups page — click "Add Follow-up"
- The Leads page — click the "Follow Up" action on any active lead
- The Chat page — use the follow-up shortcut
When creating from Leads or Chat, the contact is automatically pre-selected.
How do I see a contact's follow-up history?
When you create or edit a follow-up, the left panel of the dialog shows the full follow-up history for the selected contact, with the most recent follow-up marked.
Can I filter follow-ups by date range?
Yes. Use the Follow-up Date and Next Follow-up Date filters to narrow down your list by date ranges.
What's the difference between "Follow-up Date" and "Next Follow-up"?
- Follow-up Date is when the follow-up was created or last actioned
- Next Follow-up is the scheduled date for the next interaction with the contact
