Changing Template Media
If your template has an image, video, or document, you can update just the media without editing the entire template. This is a quick way to refresh visuals.
When to use Change Media
- Update a promotional image for a Marketing template
- Replace an outdated document (e.g., updated price list PDF)
- Swap a video with a newer version
- Update images across Carousel cards
How to change media:
- Go to the Templates listing page
- Find the template whose media you want to update
- Click the Change Media option
- A dialog opens showing:
- The current media attached to the template
- The media type (Image, Video, or Document)
- Click to select new media from your file manager
- Review the change
- Click Save to apply

If your template is a Carousel (multiple swipeable cards), the Change Media dialog shows all cards and their images/videos. You can update media for individual cards or all at once.

Changing media does not re-trigger WhatsApp review. The template remains Approved and the new media is used the next time you send the template.
Supported Media Formats

tip
Make sure your media files are accessible (not behind a login or expired link). The system validates that the file URL is reachable before saving.
