Templates Listing Page
When you open Messaging → WhatsApp Templates from the left menu, you land on the listing page. This is your central dashboard for all templates.
2. Make sure you have 4–5 templates with different statuses (Approved, Pending, Rejected)

Each template in the list shows four pieces of information:
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Name | The unique name of your template (e.g., order_confirmation) |
| Category | The type — Marketing, Utility, or Authentication |
| Language | The language of the template (e.g., English, Hindi, Tamil) |
| Status | Whether WhatsApp has approved, rejected, or is still reviewing it |
Understanding Template Statuses
| Status | Meaning | Can you use it? |

| Approved | WhatsApp has approved this template | Yes |
| Pending | WhatsApp is reviewing your template | No, wait for approval |
| Rejected | WhatsApp did not approve the template | No, edit and resubmit |
| In Appeal | You challenged a rejection, under review again | No, wait for decision |
| Disabled | Turned off by WhatsApp | No |
| Paused | Temporarily stopped due to quality concerns | No |
| Pending Deletion | Being removed | No |
| Deleted | Permanently removed | No |
Only templates with Approved status can be used to send messages to customers.
Actions available on this page

Use the search bar at the top to quickly find a template by its name or category. Just start typing and the list will filter automatically.
Sync Button
Click the Sync button to refresh all template statuses from WhatsApp. This is useful when:
- You are waiting for a pending template to be approved
- You created templates outside this portal (e.g., in Meta Business Manager)
- You want to make sure everything is up to date
Create Template
Click the Create Template button to start building a new template. This takes you to the template creation page.
If you don't see the Create Template or Sync buttons, your role may not have permission to create templates. Contact your administrator.
Actions on each template
When you click on or hover over a template row, you can perform these actions:

| Clone | Copy icon | Creates a copy of the template for you to modify |
| Change Media | Image icon | Updates the image, video, or document without editing the whole template |
Viewing a Template
Click the View button to open a read-only popup. This shows:
- Template name, category, language, and status
- Full message preview (how it looks in WhatsApp)
- All components (header, body, footer, buttons)
- Option to copy the template data to clipboard
2. Click the View (eye) icon on any APPROVED template that has body + buttons
3. Capture the full dialog/popup showing template details and WhatsApp preview
